Make a Real Difference as an English Teacher SEND / Post-16
If you are a passionate and experienced English Teacher seeking a rewarding, part-time role in Birmingham, this could be your ideal opportunity. As an English Teacher supporting neurodivergent young people in a specialist post-16 environment, you will have the chance to inspire learners who may not have thrived in mainstream education. You’ll work in smaller groups, help tailor programmes around each student’s unique needs, and be part of a college committed to wellbeing, individuality, and positive relationships.

The Role
You will deliver English as part of each learner’s individual study programme, supporting both Functional Skills and GCSE English qualifications. The teaching approach is highly personalised, with an emphasis on creativity, flexibility, and building positive relationships that foster confidence and engagement.
Hours are 8:30am 4:40pm, two days per week (one day based in Aston, the other in Birmingham City Centre). Days are flexible, but Wednesday is not available.
Start date is after October half term, with the potential for an earlier start.
