We are recruiting a Compliance & Governance Lead Accountant to strengthen financial controls and governance across the regional operations of a leading national facilities management provider.

This is an opportunity to influence policy, improve processes and work closely with senior finance stakeholders.

The role As the Compliance & Governance Lead Accountant, you will:

• Lead finance compliance and governance across regional operations.
• Develop and maintain financial policies, controls and governance documentation.
• Support internal and external audits and regulatory reporting.
• Monitor compliance and provide clear recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Identify control gaps and lead the delivery of remediation plans.
• Promote consistent financial processes across multiple regional offices.
• Support continuous improvement across the wider finance function.

You To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification, with relevant practical experience.
• Proven experience in financial compliance, governance, risk or internal controls.
• Strong Excel skills and experience producing financial reports.
• The ability to identify risks and turn findings into practical improvements.
• Excellent communication and senior stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience within facilities management or a multi-site finance function would be advantageous.
