Smile Education are working on behalf of a Birmingham Primary School to assist them in their recruitment drive for April 2021. This two-form entry Primary Academy situated in North Birmingham is searching for a Y6 Class teacher, from April 2021 or earlier. Please note due to the on-going coronavirus pandemic school assessments have been deferred for a period of one year; this includes SATs.
Teach first students and NQTs are strongly encouraged to apply.
Our client has allocated additional funding for the hiring of class teachers to support in narrowing the post-lockdown gap in learning amongst pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds.
This school is situated within proximity to Perry Barr, Great Barr, Aston, Handsworth Wood, Castle Brom & Hodge Hill. Birmingham City Centre and Sutton Coldfield Town Centre are both within 6 miles. Ofsted recently graded our client ‘Good’ with three elements ‘Outstanding’. Leadership and EYFS provision are noted as a strength at this academy.

We would like applicants to have demonstrative experience working in Y5 or Y6 (Upper KS2).
To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:
• Hold a relevant UK teaching qualification with QTS
• Knowledge of the UK Primary Curriculum- recent teaching experience in Y5 or Y6
• Able and willing to travel to the Birmingham area
• Exceptionally dedicated to supporting pupils achieve the very best through an all-inclusive curriculum
