Currently recruiting for experienced transport co-ordinators to work for a well established client based in south Birmingham.
The Transport Coordinator position is paying a competitive salary, working Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm with occasional overtime. My client is offering great career progression with in a fantastic team environment and nice fresh building.
This is a fast paced environment where everyday is different, you must be able to multi task and cope under pressure. Previous conflict and complaint handling would be preferred to manage my clients customers and drivers.
Hours of work are 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday
Responsibilities of the role: Transport Coordinator
Being aware of requirements before passing out work
Build excellent working relationships with drivers
To manage drivers time by giving additional work throughout the day
Keep all departments up to date with any issues or delays and manage customer expectation to achieve service level.
Quality administration, keeping all departments up to date
To be aware of individual drivers skills and abilities
Provide out of hour’s emergency cover on a rota basis normally with 54 days
Provide meetings with drivers to build rapport and outline any issues
Deal with any driver dissatisfaction
Ensure all work on the system is planned and allocated
Other ad-hoc duties
This is a temporary to permanent position starting at £19,000 and moving up to £21,907 once you have been made permanent.
