Excellent opportunity for a Tekla Project Designer to join a market leading, specialist company based from their Birmingham office. My Client has a bespoke SFS Department who seeks a Project Designer. The role is ideal for an individual with prior Tekla experience; additional skills in cold rolled steel would be an advantage but is not essential if a structural background is evident.

Job Role

Structural detailing of major SFS based projects
Liaising with Clients and sub-contractors with regards to projects
Provide structural advice to in-house staff
Manage your work load in an effective and diligent manner, reporting all conflicts in deadlines and activities to your Line Manager in a timely fashion
Keep the customer and other involved parties in all decision making where a risk or action may be required
Ensure that adequate records are kept of all communications with external companies in accordance with company protocol
Attend site as / if required in relation to projects you are involved in / responsible forEssentially applicants will possess:

Knowledge of the construction industry and building techniques
Possess a strong drive for results, be self motivated.and be able to effectively communicate with design professionals and clients
A full driving licenceExperience of cold rolled steel or SFS based projects is not essential to the role if a good grounding in building structures is evident long with Tekla expertise
