Our client, a locally based contractor specialising in a variety of construction sectors, civil engineering and project management are presenting an opportunity for an advanced level, number 1 Site Manager to join them as they undertake a number of exciting new projects, securing their continual future growth.

Renowned for their safety on site, our client is a business that has the interests of their employees at the heart of everything they do.

The ideal Site Manager will have a proven track record working on all types of construction sectors, materials and will have worked on projects ranging from £1 – £5 million. A number of retail projects have been won for early 2016 and therefore experience involving, but not limited to this sector is required.

Responsibilities:

Manage site works with a commitment to achieving a safe and timely completion of works, cost effectively and deliver on any associated plans, method statements and risk assessments
Coordination of the entire site or specific designated sites, sub-contractors, contractors, suppliers and deliveries
Manage and supervise site staff whilst ensuring all personnel are competent, have correct certification and training requirements identified
Communicate the progress of the project to the business
Ensure all employees are regularly briefed in respect of current policies and other associated plans
Adherence to Quality Control
Meet milestones target as agreedEssential Skills:

The ideal Site Manager would have a stable background having recently worked a minimum of 5 consecutive years for a singular contractor
Experience with all forms of construction preferred including with particular interest in the retail, industrial and commercial sectors
Minimum of 10 years in the industry
Trade background is desirable
Appropriate construction management qualification and experience desirable
Excellent written and interpersonal skills, with good problem solving, motivational and team working skills
Excellent time management, organisational and multi-tasking skills
Full UK driving license
