KH Consulting is currently working with a market leading client within the materials handling sector who is actively looking to recruit an experienced Service Manager for their Birmingham site. The business has seen significant growth over the last year and now the strong performing Birmingham depot requires someone to continue to develop the business in the Midlands.
The Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of all aspects of the service department within the depot. They will manage a team of mobile Service Engineers who are responsible for carrying out routine maintenance and repairs to a wide variety of materials handling equipment at client sites across the Midlands. The Service Manager will work with the Depot Manager to ensure annual targets in terms of revenue and profitability are met as well as the forecasts and long term strategic goals for the depot. The depot has a successful track record and a strong team of service engineers with a wealth of experience plus a reputation for providing excellent service to its clients.
The successful applicant will have a proven track record of managing a team of engineers within a depot environment and ideally have come from an enginnering background. Experience of the materials handling sector would be desirable although not essential. You must have excellent people management and communication skills with the ability to motivate a workforce and a focus on providing exceptional customer service to the company’s clients.
