Senior Planner – HS2 Enabling Works – Birmingham

My client is a main contractor who is recruiting a Senior Planner to work from their office in central Birmingham on HS2. The successful Senior Planner will have both tender & live works experience, and will also come from a heavy civil engineering background. The Senior Planner will be a strong user of P6, and will have team management experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Planner with heavy civil engineering experience to work on potentially the largest infrastructure project the UK has ever seen.

Project: Various civil engineering enabling work packages of High Speed 2.

Requirements

* Minimum of Planner status
* Both tender & live work experience
* Strong user of P6
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Ability & experience of managing / mentoring team members
* Civil engineering background
* Previous civils planning experience

Responsibilities

* Manage/mentor more junior Planners
* Creating cost and resource loaded programmes
* KPI / Milestone reporting
* Earned Value Analysis
* Critical Path
* S Curve Analysis
* Conducting Schedule Risk Analysis

Remuneration

* Up to £70,000 basic salary (experience dependant)
