The world`s leading security solutions group is seeking a HOME based Repair and Maintenance Officer who lives in Birmingham to cover the Birmingham and West Midlands area.
This is permanent position offering £20,000 per annum, plus on call allowance, company car and a range of benefits.
You must possess the required skills and experience:
-Experience in a general residential property maintenance role
-Full clean driving licence.
-Good customer care skills.
-Preferred qualifications in Joinery but not essential.
-You will be required to undergo a credit check.
-You will be put through an enhanced DBS check.
Your duties will include:
-Visiting schools, colleges and customers homes to carry out repair and maintenance on products supplied.
-Deliver the day-to-day maintenance of service users homes in line with legislative and contractual standards.
-Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance of service user accommodation and furniture in accordance with contractual requirements and company systems.
-Deal effectively and safely with the rectification of breakdowns, defects and damage, ensuring timely responses are made and the service users homes are safely and securely maintained.
-Check that all tools or stores items including consumables are accounted for at all times so that security is maintained.
-Monitor and complete documentation accurately for all work carried out in ensuring adherence with the company systems.
-Adhering to safe systems of work procedures and practices and using appropriate safety devices, equipment and clothing provided by the company.
-Report to the appropriate person all unsafe conditions, damage, near misses – whether or not there are any personal injuries, in order that remedial action can be taken.
-Update central management information system daily.
You will work 40 hours per week, however, you will be expected to work the hours necessary to fulfil the requirements of this role(overtime will be paid). Out of hours on call work will be rostered between the staff pool and you will be required to cover 24 hrs 7 days, a full week when it is your turn (once every 3 months or so)
You will receive a retainer for the days of £15 Monday to Friday and £25 for Saturday and Sunday and any overtime that you complete in out of hours you will receive one and a quarter times your hourly rate for the hours you are required to work.
