The client continue to invest heavily and develop their BIM division and the recruitment of this individual is key to their future business growth.
Responsibilities
To take responsibility for the current BIM team and oversee their projects and quality check all work while actively recruiting new team members to expand the existing BIM Team. Ensure the team-wide end user support implements REVIT and other design software in compliance with BIM standards.
Duties include managing folder structure and file naming strategy, use of template and documenting specific project procedures.
Ensure that configurations and other customisations are complete, in place and limited to those that are supportable and in line with standards and project procedures.
You must be able to prove past experience of evaluating BIM skills of new hire and potential hires, provide orientation and training on the companies UK standard and guidelines, in the support of design software.
Deal with any technical issues, with the support of other software super users, RG BIM Leads, UK Head of BIM software vendors, and other resources.
Maintain current knowledge of BIM and other design software, industry developments in integrated practice and other capable techniques.
Other Responsibilities.
Mentor less experienced BIM personnel and offer advice and knowledge around BIM and Revit software
Contribute to the production of project deliverables and act as BIM project coordinator responsible for the execution of the companies BIM strategy including the use of Revit, the folder structure and file naming strategy, use of templates and documenting specific project procedures.
Managing objects and other paramatic content (REVIT families, etc) in project libraries, coordinated with the local and RUK reference libraries.
Define and implement procedures for coordination with REVIT and non-Revit material used by other members of the extended project team.
Required knowledge Skills
Educated to a minimum of Bachelor Degree level with extensive experience in the relevant field.
Excellent skills in REVIT required and AutoCad and other associated software’s
Ability to resolve BIM design issues and to develop and enforce BIM documentation and work-flow process
Act as an auditor for model compliance, quality control and troubleshoot problems.
