An international Consultancy with offices across the UK are seeking an Quantity Surveyor/Project Quantity Surveyor to join their busy Central Birmingham office.

This company have Offices across the UK and have over 500 employees. They’re one of the World’s leading management and construction consultants and have over 125years worth of experience.

They are seeking an individual who has 3 years + experience in the role working towards their MRICS and has a RICS accredited Degree.

The Role

The successful Quantity Surveyor/Project Quantity Surveyor will be involved both Pre and Post Contract and will have worked on a range of sectors including residential and commercial retail. This is a client facing role and you must be comfortable dealing with all manner of stake holders whilst supporting senior members of staff.

Daily duties and responsibilities will include:

Cost Planning

Reporting Tenders

Cost Reporting

Agreement of final accounts

Budget estimating

Managing other team members to deliver detailed cost plans

This opportunity will be most suited to an individual who already has experience in the Birmingham market (Not essential) and is looking to take the next big step forward in their career.

The Person

As an Project Quantity Surveyor 1-3 years’ experience and have completed or be working towards your MRICS. You will have a Construction related degree and have experience working on small to medium value build projects for a consultancy in the UK.

You must be ambitious and be striving to become a chartered QS, excellent communication and writing skills is essential. Presenting yourself professionally and in client facing manner is extremely important.
