At Burnside we are extremely proud to be working closely with the UK’s largest constructor of commercial flat roofing systems.

As a dedicated resource partner, we have a keen understanding of the regulations involved in this construction sector and seek to supply the best candidates available in the flat roofing construction sector.  Site management & supervision will always be required, as a minimum, to hold management CSCS cards as well as SSSTS or SMSTS certification and all candidates will have a wealth of commercial/industrial scale flat roofing experience to draw from.

Quantity Surveyor                                                        

PURPOSE: PRODUCE DETAILED VALUATIONS AND FINAL ACCOUNTS

REPORTS TO: Branch Manager

SUBORDINATES: None

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare monthly valuations and agree final accounts

Price variations and advise Client.

Carry out internal month end procedures.

Chase up all outstanding cash balances

Sales Ledger

Procure all materials required for contracts.

Liaise with suppliers/transport departments of supply chain.

Liaise with site operatives to ensure site requirements are adhered to.

Maintain good working relationships with operatives and Clients.

To always implement company policies.

AUTHORITY LIMITS:

Costs to be agreed prior to starting contract

Approved contractor selection in accordance with Company procedures

Approval only of sub-contractor invoices4

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE OF POSITION HOLDER.

Incumbents need to be articulate. numerate and demonstrate competence in:

Surveying, Contracts and Contract Law relating to the construction industry.

Adaptability/ Business Awareness/ Detail Handling/Initiative/ Planning and Organising/ Plant/Safety/Communication

Experience of the building and construction Industry

General computer awareness.
