The Company

This Birmingham based Interiors contractor is dedicated to delivering high end fit out projects for a number of public and private sector clients using specialist knowledge retained within the company. Following a very successful 2015 there is a new opportunity in this very busy division for a Project Quantity Surveyor. This role is typically office based but you may be required to visit nationwide sites when necessary. Typical project values will range from £200k-10M within a variety of sectors including Student Accommodation, Retail and Commercial.

The Candidate

The role lends itself brilliantly to a Quantity Surveyor that is looking for a company that will understand and appreciate them as an employee. You will be joining a very tight-knit team that encourage team bonding and co-operation.

You will be reporting to an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor that will offer support and guidance whenever needed and will encourage the progression of your career. As Quantity Surveyor you will have the freedom to plan your diary as you see fit. You will be site based within 45 minutes of the Birmingham office and will be responsible for running projects as No 1 up to the value of £3M.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent attention to detail and the confidence to deal with sub-contractors first-hand. Commercial awareness is an absolute must, alongside the ability to make the company as profitable as possible.

Salary and Benefits:

Our client offers a basic salary in the region of £45,000 plus car/allowance, as well as the normal benefits you’d expect from a successful company that wants to keep and develop its people.

Interview process & start date:

The target start date is as soon as practically possible depending on notice periods. Before that will be a screening interview with Ed Mynard at Think Recruitment. Thereafter will be two interviews at our client’s offices.
