Quantity Surveyor – Permanent – Main Contractor – Birmingham – Utilities – Civils
Your new company
You will be joining an established main contractor based in Birmingham working on a major water framework in the Midlands region. This multi-accredited company operates nationwide and has a strong pipeline of work in the utilities sector. They boast an impressive range of high-profile clients they work in partnership with and they offer excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. They are now looking to onboard a Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term basis with to be expected full-time permanent employment afterwards.
Your new role
As Quantity Surveyor you will be based out of their Birmingham office and be responsible for, but not limited to, preparing and issuing subcontractor orders, carrying out site measures, providing commercial support on site, maintaining accurate records of all values (including costs, profitability, productivity) as well as preparing contractor/client meetings.
What you’ll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will hold a bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying (or equivalent) and ideally have previous experience surveying within the Civils industry, working with NEC form of contracts. In addition, you will be able to prioritise workloads and work within set deadlines. Finally, you will be an ambitious individual with sound interpersonal skills who is able to work both independently and as part of a team.
