Due to a sustained order book form their customers, our automotive client is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support shop floor customer and process driven quality concerns and implement corrective action and appropriate counter measures..
Quality Engineer
Salary: c£38000
Location: West Midlands ( commutable from Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley, West Bromwich, North Birmingham areas)
Duties as a Quality Engineer, you will be required to:
o Monitor and respond to customer concerns, defects or returns and use RCA and problem solving tools to implement resolution
o Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformance issues
o Support PPAP/APQP activities, gauge R&R, capability studies
o Drive forward customer complaint through effective action plans using 8D problem solving and RCA
o Conduct internal audits, product checks, define inspection instructions and control plans

The Quality Engineer should have the following skills or experience:
o Plant/Production Quality Engineering support in fast paced volume automotive manufacturing
o Process Audits, FMEA, SPC and QMS within a IATF/ TS16949 or ISO9001 environment
o Strong problem-solving skills to include 8D, A3, 5Y, Process improvement
o Able to support new product launch, specifically involving PPAP activities, gauge R&R & capabity studies
o Previous experience in the development of IATF internal audit and control plans
