Well-practiced in identifying new suppliers, negotiating new supplier arrangements and setting procurement strategies candidates are sought with experience sourcing castings, forgings & metal forming components and will have strong leadership skills. Commutable from: Coventry, Birmingham, Leicester, Rugby, Leamington Spa, Kenilworth. Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 plus benefits Suitable for: Procurement Manager, Sourcing Manager, Purchasing Manager, Purchasing Director, Head of Purchasing, Senior Buyer. The Role Due to expansion and growth a Procurement Manager is required to join a recognised leader in their field and you will be responsible for identifying new suppliers, negotiating terms and leading a team. You will ensure that the business has robust systems in place to ensure quality standards and maintained and customer orders fulfilled. A particular emphasis will be on continuous improvement and strategic future proof planning as the company goes through a long-term expansion program. Proven experience of supplier selection, negotiation and performance management is a key requirement. The Candidate With experience in a lead strategic procurement role, you must have worked in complex manufacturing and have experience sourcing castings, forgings & metal forming components. You will have excellent man-management skills and previous experience of gained within complex manufacturing and knowledge of sourcing on a global basis.
