Project Quantity Surveyor

A Project Quantity Surveyor is required to join the award winning building division of a multi-disciplinary construction company. My client complete design and build, new build and large refurbishment projects within education, healthcare, commercial and industrial sectors. They have a strong presence across the West Midlands where they have a reputation for being successful on projects ranging from £2m – £45m.
Reason for the Vacancy:
The company has seen gradual and sustained growth over the last 12 months which have been a result of a number of negotiated contracts, framework agreements and repeat business from long standing clients. The company views the appointment of an additional Project Quantity Surveyor as an integral part of the development of this business unit as they continue to secure work into the next decade with past users and new clients.
The Role:
The initial project is a £5m design & build sports and leisure facility. Reporting into a Commercial Manager you will be responsible for managing commercial activities and site. Future projects will range from £2m – £12m across a variety of sectors including commercial, education, health and industrial.
The Person:
The ideal person will have a proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor or developer. You will ideally have experience working on projects over £3m and possess a recognised construction qualification such as degree or HND.
– Main contractor background within building
– Project value experience £3m+
– Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
– In depth knowledge of framework contracts, NEC, JCT and D&B forms of contract.
