Remuneration: £70,000-£90,000neg (depending on experience) + bonus

The role of the Project Director – Offsite Construction / Modular Buildings will involve:

• Project Director position responsible for the overall leadership, direction, management and supervision of projects
• Initially you will be specifically focused on the a brand new prison works project worth £30m, however once tied up you will then be working on various projects across different sectors such as MOD, commercial, retail, hotels, student accommodation sectors (prison works preferable)
• Communicate a clear vision and strategy for the delivery team
• Will be managing a team of 2 initially (Contracts Manager & Project Manager) and as the project develops with be require to recruit / resource headcounts effectively with the HR team
• Drive / ensure the project team implement health and safety standards at all times
• Monitor and drive weekly progress reports, outlining issues, delays and solutions
• Deal with any changes / decision making during the project
• Regularly liaising with / managing the construction site team, main contractors, sub-contractors, consultants that guarantees the quality of build
• Will have interaction with specifiers, consultants and architects
• Typical projects include: Prison Works, Student Accommodation, Military, Education, Healthcare, Residential, Commercial, Hotels
• Working very closely with the CEO with great support from everybody internally

The ideal applicant will be Project Director – Offsite Construction / Modular Buildings with:

• Must have a demonstrable track record in project management in the offsite modular market sector
• Must have managed a team of Project Managers / Contracts Manager previously
• Must have expert knowledge of key sectors such as; prison works, MOD / defence, education, healthcare etc
• Must have MCIOB qualification or equivalent experience through work
• Must have a board knowledge of building regulations and construction methods
• Must have worked on major multimillion “big ticket” projects
• Must commercial awareness
• Ideally have a degree
• Ideally have strong understanding the sales process when selling to local authorities
