I am a blind international consultant and activist in the field of disability rights, having previously worked with the United Nations, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, University of Leeds and University of Birmingham. I am looking for a personal assistant with experience in administration who can support me with a variety of tasks.
Tasks may include, but are not limited to:
Notetaking during meetings
Editing reports and written communications
Support with writing reports and conducting research as and when needed
Previous projects that my personal assistants have supported with include researching academic and grey literature on the experiences of disabled people accessing health and education in conflict situations and the economic inclusion of disabled people in lower- and middle-income countries. Due to the nature of my work, which often involves last-minute meetings, I need someone who can be flexible with their time when possible.
Experience: notetaking, transcribing, administration, English language editing and writing, whether professionally or through university writing-assignments
Preferably fluent in Arabic and some experience in research. These will only be considered non-essential for outstanding CVs.
Can-do attitude and willingness to muck-in when needed
Need to have access to a computer, a phone and an internet connection
