Job Title: Mobile Embalmer
Reports to: Business Manager/Funeral Manager
Location: Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire area.

What to expect
Client Service Excellence
The purpose of this role is to show consistent delivery of the highest levels of client service and provision of all aspects of ‘Helping our Clients Every Step of the Way’.
You will need to fully comply with the quality standards manual and Dignity’s ID and Personal Effects policies, as well as all other internal procedures, be responsible for preparing the deceased to be placed in the coffin, with an eye to final presentation (including the condition of the coffin) and taking into account any instruction made by those responsible for the arrangement.
Finally, you must also be prepared to offer advice to community staff on presentation of the deceased and to the visit branches where appropriate.
Operational Efficiency
You will be required to ensure that all deceased are given proper and appropriate treatment in a dignified and professional manner and to ensure the best possible standards of preparation and presentation, following COSHH guidelines at all times and to carry out the instructions from the arrangement.
What you will need
British Institute of Embalmers certification preferred but not essential. You need to be resolute about handling the deceased with care, tenderness, and complete respect for their dignity and to be physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy weights in accordance with manual handling procedures and will need to show commitment to funeral service. You will need to have some flexibility with regard to your working hours.
You will also need to hold a current driving licence.
