We deliver commercially focused business solutions by combining our legal, lobbying and political capabilities and invaluable connections on the ground to a diverse mix of clients, from long-established leading corporations to emerging businesses, start-up visionaries and sovereign nations. Our UK HR team consists of our core generalist HR team (responsible for our UK fee earners, support staff and secretarial staff populations), Resourcing, Projects, Learning & Development, Payroll and Rewards & Benefits. The L&D Advisor will report to the Head of L&D, and work closely with the wider HR team.
Learning & Development Advisor – Our Opportunity:
This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape and deliver our L&D strategy at an exciting time for the firm. You will deliver learning across a range of our employee populations – including our emerging talent and associate groups. You will also be involved in the design and delivery of leadership development programmes as well as business services training.
You will develop engaging learning content and, by keeping up to date on external L&D trends, you will continue to develop our learning offerings. You will ensure our learning programmes are applicable to our people in the context of working in a global law firm and meet our regulatory requirements. You will also support individual training requirements and assist the Head of L&D with ad hoc projects as required.
You will assist in compliance training requirements and support in the organisation, administration and reporting of learning, including maintaining our LMS.
This is a varied role in which no two days will be the same! If you are looking for an opportunity where you can really make your mark and develop your career in learning and development, then this could be the role for you.
Learning & Development Advisor – You:
Previous experience designing, delivering and evaluating learning (particularly business and soft skills training) is required. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
This busy and fast-paced environment requires someone who is a confident and motivated self-starter. You will be highly organised and able to manage a varied workload whilst maintaining exceptional attention to detail. You will be a creative and innovative thinker who is able to contribute new ideas and approaches to the delivery of learning.
Ideally, you will also have experience creating engaging learning in multiple formats, including live and on demand and you will have strong facilitation skills in both face-to-face and virtual environments.
You will be adept at using Microsoft Office (including word, excel and PowerPoint) and have experience using a Moodle based LMS and Camtasia, Captivate or another similar scorm compliant authoring tool.
Experience working within a law firm, or similar professional services environment is preferred, although not essential.
