MDE are recruiting for a Lead Toolmaker who has signifcant experience with the manufacture, maintenance and repair of Injection Mould Tools.
You will be required to understand and interpret requirements, lead the tooling team and repair tools to a high standard. You will be tasked with outlining training needs within the team and demonstrate best practice to team members.
We are looking for someone with a bench hand back ground using manual lathes and mills as well as other hand tools
Desirable skills
* Injection moulding and die cast tooling
* Assemble Mould tools using skills such as Benching, fitting, grinding and polishing.
* Identify issues and repair/refurbish tools to a high-quality standard
* Work from instructions and delegate tasks across the teams
* Working to high tolerances.
You will be a team player, have excellent communication skills and familiar to working to strict health and safety standards
