A large school in south west Birmingham require a KS1 teacher to support in narrowing the post-lockdown gap in learning amongst pupils. This will begin as soon as the right teacher is found. The school has allocated additional ‘catch up’ funding to allow significant support to be provided to the pupils most affected by the school closures caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Having excellent transport links to the M42, M5 and main train line, the school also has strong links to the local community including nurseries and secondary schools. You will be working with small focus groups of 6-8 pupils with a focus on Numeracy and Literacy across Y1 & Y2. The role is funded until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of being extended into the (Apply online only) year too.
