HR Manager Location Birmingham Contract: Full time, Permanent Salary: £45000 to £60000 PA Benefits: Competitive About us and the role Highway Traffic Management (HTM) supply traffic management solutions to contractors, local authorities and national highways to make the carriage way safe for others to undertake their work. They are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Manager to join them in a role that will take the lead role in formulating and delivering the HR strategy and policies across this growing organisation. The role is a split between Strategic and Generalist and a strong background in employee relations is key. Responsibilities to include but not limited to: Build strong working relations with Operations and Senior Management, supporting them and the wider business HR Strategy planning Guide and advise management on HR matters Write and review policies ensuring they are fit for purpose Performance manage staff in the areas of development, objective setting, appraisals and discipline Line manage and mentor a HR Coordinator Leading on the management of employee relations cases Leading HR related projects Development and management of recruitment processes Participating in interdepartmental meetings Person Specification The ideal HR candidate will have a strong operational HR generalist/strategic background Minimum CIPD Level 5 Excellent ER experience Capability to increase the visibility and credibility of HR across the business A strong communicator Excellent attention to detail and organised, skilled negotiator and excellent stakeholder management skills Experience in Logistics, Manufacturing, construction or similar environment is preferred.
