The Xact Group are a national health and safety provider to SME’s and corporates delivering services across the UK operating from our head office in Bellshill.
Due to continued expansion of the organisation, an opportunity has arisen for a high quality health & safety consultant to join the team as a Full time Regional Technical Representative based in the Midlands
The role will have an operational focus working directly with the Head Office Health & Safety team and the Sales & Marketing Director.
The primary function will be client focused and will involve the following tasks:
Install agreed health and safety systems including risk assessments, COSHH assessments, policies and procedures.
Assist clients in the education and training of employees, including participation of induction programmes, with regard to all relevant health and safety issues e.g. accident investigation, risk assessments, employee safety awareness, etc.
Assist in developing systems, for monitoring, control and the implementation of effective policies, procedures and actions to provide a safe working environment.
Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify potential accidents and health hazards
Completing reports
Reviewing and updating of online health and safety management systems.
The secondary focus will be on representing the company in order to assist in supporting existing partnerships and potential new clients and will include:

General Business Meetings
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
You will need to be able to demonstrate substantial experience of health and safety practice in a similar role.
Minimum of a TECH IOSH & NEBOSH General Certificate
Desired
Diploma in Health and Safety or an equivalent qualification
Previous experience in consultancy and working within the SME sphere is important but not essential.
The ability and certification to be able to deliver Safety training
Food Hygiene qualifications/experience is not essential but would be of benefit.

The main hours of work are Monday to Friday 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., however due to the nature of the role flexibility and travel throughout the UK will be required in addition to occasional overnight stays away from home.
