Guillotine Operator / Birmingham / £8.50-£9.00 per hour / Temp to perm

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced candidate to join a large steel firm located in Birmingham on a temp to perm basis.

You will be responsible for operating a Cincinnati guillotine to cut steel, as well as driving a counterbalance forklift truck to manoeuvre stock around the workplace, loading and unloading machinery and vehicles. Your regular duties would include, but would not be limited to;

• Operating a Cincinnati guillotine to cut steel
• Working with steel from 0.4mm to 10mm in thickness
• Marking material with works information
• Driving a counterbalance FLT
• Loading and unloading steel
• Keeping factory organised, clean & tidy
• Adhering to strict health and safety guidelines at all times

To be considered for this role you must be an experienced Guillotine Operator with recent experience coming from within the steel industry, and you must have also operated counterbalance FLTs.

Working hours for this role would be straight days, 7:30am – 4:30pm with an early finish on Fridays paying £8.50-£9.00 per hour depending on experience.
