Financial Reporting Analyst
The Group Finance team is responsible for reporting the Group financial results and outlook to the Executive Committee, Societe Generale Bank, and External Stakeholders.
Summary of role
Work within the International Finance team to assist in reporting the Group results to the Executive Committee and Societe Generale Bank located in Paris.
The Reporting Analyst will be responsible for the timely reporting of a portfolio of countries ensuring the finance department in each country understands and adheres to group policies and procedures.
Job Spec:
Play an active role in the reporting of actual results on a monthly basis ensuring both internal and external requirements are met while providing thorough analysis and understanding of key business issues.
Ensure monthly reporting to Societe Generale is successfully achieved via IFC in a timely manner and all queries are resolved. On quarterly basis, this expands to other Figaro supporting packages.
Ensure entities reporting is consistent with IFRS and Group Accounting Policies, including support for implementation of standards. (can be taught this)
Perform analytical review of own portfolio of entities, ensuring that all variances have been analysed and adequate details have been provided.
Review own portfolio of entities’ tax report, making sure that bookings are correct and consistent with IFC packages.
Review statutory to management reconciliation for own portfolio of entities, making sure that explanations have been provided to support the reconciliations.
Maintain and develop key reporting tools.
Effective use and development of existing databases for the successful consolidation of monthly, quarterly and year end closes, including improvement of control processes
Participation in the annual budgeting process including review and collation of forecast and budget data received from portfolio of countries, preparation of budget pack to be distributed to the countries and assisting with presentation of the analysis to European Management.
Confidently communicate and develop collaborative working relationships with the Reporting Teams in the countries

Additional
Professional Accountancy Qualification studier (or a commitment to undertake studies within the first 12 months after probation) / Minimum of 3 years work experience in a Financial role.
