Financial Performance Manager Permanent

Trading since 1989, e.surv Chartered Surveyors is the UK’s number one residential surveyor and the largest provider of property risk expertise and residential surveying services. To put it into numbers, we complete more than one property inspection every 12 seconds and employ over 600 surveyors from Land’s End to John O’Groats and Northern Ireland. This gives us the flexibility to offer nationwide coverage combined with invaluable local knowledge. 

We’re part of the LSL Property Services PLC Group, which includes household names Your Move and Reeds Rains, as well as the mortgage network PRIMIS. We work with lenders, intermediaries, social housing entities and estate agents in addition to private customers. 

Due to our continued growth, a new opportunity has arisen to manage and support some of the key areas of our finance function. The purpose of this new role is to consolidate, manage and develop a new team within Finance (comprising the Purchase Ledger and Management Accounts functions) to support e.surv in achieving it’s financial targets and business growth strategy; spanning profitability, cash management and surveyor performance incentives. The successful individual will initially manage a team of 6 direct reports and will report into the Financial Operations Manager.

The Financial Performance Manager will be responsible for:

• Supervising the Accounts Payable function – including cash management as required by Group Treasury
• Leading the Management Accounting function – including the delivery of monthly management accounts, annual Budget, 3 Year Plan and Forecasting
• Oversee the Surveyor Incentive management process function – from award calculation to payroll submission
• Accounts Payable department operates effectively and efficiently, with cash management plans achieved
• Management Accounts team achieves month end deliverables
• Budgeting process is achieved on time and to the required level of detail.
• Surveyors’ Incentive process is delivered accurately, in line with policy and within the payroll submission deadlines
• Present the management accounts to the respective budget holder each month

You’ll need to have the following skills, qualifications and experience:  

• Fully Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA) – with a min. 1yr+ post qualification experience
• Managerial experience 1yr+
• Experience in developing and improving accounting systems and processes
• A self-motivated individual who can drive through change and proactively seek out continuous improvement
• Expert Excel user
• Experience of Sun System (or similar Accounting System)
• Team player with the ability to lead, motivate and develop others
• Planning and organisational skills to ensure delivery of projects and deadlines

Whilst this position is intended to be based from our Kettering Head Office, there may also be a level of home based working involved.
