Qualified ACA/ACCA/ CIMA

This is a newly created position for a qualified accountant who is looking to make the step up in a Financial Controller role. The business is undergoing unprecedented growth and the Financial Director needs to relinquish the day to day running of the finance function.

Duties include:

• Management of a small team
• Preparation of the management accounts.
• Ensuring all control accounts are maintained and differences resolved.
• Margin analysis and product costing including review of the development of any new products.
• Preparation of information for external auditors for annual audit and corporation tax requirements.
• Preparation of historical information for other parties such as for R&D Tax Credits calculations.
• Responsible for the Fixed Asset register including appraisal of projects and approvals.
• Responsible for all VAT & PAYE matters.
• Engagement with non-financial stakeholders at all levels

The role will also involve a review of current procedures with an emphasis on ensuring the electronic systems, which are already in place are utilised to their optimum potential.

Your background

• You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Ideally have spent a period of time within an accountancy practice and then gained experience within a manufacturing environment
• Possess strong IT skills and a proven track record in process improvement
