Salary: £25,000 – £35,000

About The Role

Our client, are searching for a Finance Data Analyst with strong technical, analytical, and reporting ability. You will love working with spreadsheets and databases and will be focused on the finer details when it comes to pulling together analysis from what can be at times quite complex data. This role sits within our Finance department and you will have the autonomy to forge your own career.

As a Finance Data Analyst, your duties include:

• Analysing and interpretation of financial and non-financial data
• Data analysis – using bespoke data platforms and products
• Making recommendations on improvements to the data capture process
• Identify, collect and migrate data to and from a range of systems
• Summarise and present data and conclusions in the most appropriate format for users
• Manipulate and link different data sets

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous knowledge of data analysis
• Strong Excel and Access skills
• Excellent administration and communication skills
• Highly organised and methodical approach to work
• Finance knowledge not essential
• Proven knowledge of interacting effectively with management
• Have a can-do attitude to problems

• Communication skills. You have strong verbal and written communication skills and understand how to share insights with stakeholders.
• Data management. You understand data sources, data organisation and storage.
• Data modelling, data cleansing, and data enrichment skills. You understand conceptual, logical and physical data modelling and can develop knowledge of data cleansing and standardisation.
• Data visualisation. You can interpret requirements and present data in a clear and compelling way, using graphical representations and data visualisations.
• Logical and creative thinking skills. You can approach a problem, applying logic and creativity.
• Proven IT and mathematical skills. You have proven IT and mathematical skills, demonstrated through relevant qualifications.
• Quality assurance, validation and data linkage abilities. You know how to conduct data quality assurance, validation and linkage.
• Statistical methods and data analysis skills. You know about statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques.
