Our client is a globally respected engineering organisation, providing white collar, Blue collar and engineering services to many sectors including energy, aerospace, marine and defence. On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Finance Business Partner for a 6 month contract based in Derby (currently home working, then 1-2 days travel to site in Derby).
Our engine leasing business is a core aspect of the aftermarket service we provide to our customers and an exciting opportunity has arisen as the FBP for this team within the Service Delivery organisation. The Leasing value stream within Civil Aerospace accounts for approximately £450m of cost per annum covering financing, logistics, maintenance and storage and currently involves a level of complex accounting between Rolls-Royce Leasing Ltd and Rolls-Royce plc. We are looking for someone to join the team and take a lead in running the finances of this value stream whilst also leading a project to review and improve the way in which we transact our leasing costs across our business. This role will be highly visible within the Services business and will have key interfaces to other aspects of Service Delivery, the Services Strategy team, Engine Teams, the Business Centre, Group Finance and our external auditors. We’re looking for someone with high energy, attention for detail a nd a drive to deliver real process improvements to take this role and join the team.
Essential skills
* Qualified Accountant
* Experience in periodic reporting, budgeting and forecasting and driving business performance
* Experience of partaking in (ideally leading) process improvement projects
* Experience of influencing non-finance colleagues
* An understanding of Statutory accounts preparation
Desirable skills
* Statutory accounts preparation
* Interfacing with and management of external audit
