Finance Assistant Permanent

The Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Finance Assistant. You will work closely with our accountants providing trusted support to the finance function.

Your experience and analytical skills are vital for this role as you will work at different levels across the business. Strong knowledge and experience of Finance systems, together with attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential.

Key responsibilities:

• Reconcile and manage bank accounts, accounts payable and receivable, prepare VAT submission.
• Payroll, tax NI and pension payments.
• Support Commercial Team with financial proposals and developments with P&L analysis.
• Manage insurance, facilities, suppliers, supplier management including PO’s, new accounts, procurement, contracts, reconciling invoices and legal.
• Prepare information for financial reports and data collation for KPI and budget performance, measurement and review.

Additional Information

You will ideally have 2+ years of Finance experience in a similar role, Xero proficiency is preferred. Ideally possessing or working towards a Finance qualification.

• Technical Knowledge: Xero proficiency preferred. Strong Office 365 especially Excel. Digital literacy as we are moving quickly towards being a fully digital end to end business.
• Organised & Disciplined: practical and logical; able to solve problems quickly. Strong organisational and administrative skills. Detail orientated with the ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ownership: Responsible and accountable for actions. Results orientated, stays focused on actions that push the business towards our goals. Able to meet deadlines and manage working with multiple ledgers.
• Effective Communicator: ability to persuasively and succinctly deliver ideas and concepts which will continually improve and move the business towards goal achievement and ensure on time execution of plans.
• Continuous Improvement: always starts with the end in mind. Plans, executes, reviews and improves processes continually.
