Our client, a leading manufacturer has an exciting opportunity to manage and develop the engineering function their UK manufacturing site. This is a global company who supply products for a wide variety of customers and business is booming. This is their flagship site in the UK and it is a great opportunity for an experienced and motivated manager to further develop and improve the department.

You will be tasked with the day-to-day operation of the engineering department within UK facilities, whilst maintaining both engineering and legislative standards. You will also manage and implement projects within the manufacturing department at Leicester. This role will appeal to an autonomous individual with a comprehensive idea of how to run a successful Engineering team within a pressurised environment.

Role Description
*Manage the day to day operations within the engineering department which works on a 24/7 rota
*Implement and organise statutory inspections
*Responsibility for training & up-skilling of current staff
*Manage relationships with key suppliers
*Develop the CMMS working closely with continuous improvement department
*Budget control
*Plan, prepare and manage maintenance expenditure to deliver targeted levels of plant performance cost effectively
*Monitor costs of projects to meet agreed budget constraints
*Proactively analyze data in line with plant and machinery breakdowns to a reduction in downtime
*Procurement of Engineering Spares & Consumables
*Management and Supervision of Outside Contractors

Skills and Qualifications
*Engineering/Maintenance Manager experience
*Electrical/Mechanical maintenance background
*Strong project management skills
*Manufacturing experience
*Prince2 or Project Management Diploma advantageous
*Previous Experience of developing Planned Maintenance Schedules
*Managed, Nurtures & Developed Staff
