Construction Manager – Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire Permanent

As a growing housing association with expansion in the Worcestershire/Gloucestershire region, we are looking to appoint a Construction Manager to report to the Head of Construction. Your role will be to deliver multiple housing schemes within the delivery timescales, ensuring all schemes are cost efficient, operated in a safe environment with excellent quality.

You will be encouraged to think for yourself, use your initiative and help your team work more effectively. You will help us raise standards across all our sites — ensuring that everything from communication, health and safety, project and strategy, to risk management, monitoring and reporting are always delivered and to the highest possible quality.

We are looking for you to have previous construction management and leadership experience in residential house building. You will need experience in building effective and high-performing teams, managing diversity, motivating others, be a great communicator and comfortable with delegation and conflict management.

As a Construction manager with Bromford, you will:

• An experienced construction or site manager with a proven background in safe and efficient volume delivery
• An SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS card holder
• Bringing the experience of managing multiple new build sites
• Ideally, from a house builder/developer background
• Manage and lead direct employees and subcontractors working on all Bromford Construction schemes.
• Ensure that all construction sites have a health and safety culture where all practices and policies are adhered to with a high level of presentation at all times.
• Effectively manage all schemes so completed on time and any challenges/risks addressed and overcome.
• Manage the construction process of schemes efficiently; ensuring within budget and, where appropriate, challenging cost to ensure full value achieved.
• Develop an engaging and motivated culture within the team, foster and support the teams development

• Drives and manages high performance and quality within the team to ensure targets fully achieved.

• Expected to complete all relevant training and development activities, as and when required
• At all times, complying with company policies, procedures and instructions
• Committed to our DNA and be a great ambassador for Bromford.

You will need to travel between multiple sites, so you must have a full, clean driving licence.

Your previous experience may be in roles such as Construction Manager, site manager, senior site manager, contracts manager, amongst others.
