As Business Support Team Leader you will support the Business Support Manager and will be required to co-ordinate and supervise a team of support staff in delivering a high standard of administration support to the business. This role will be responsible for allocating work and tasks to the Shared Service team working from the Shared Service helpdesk. You be will be expected to monitor quality of output and ensure tasks are delivered on time. You will support the Business Support Manager in delivering the shared service support model whilst maintaining excellent relations with key stakeholders, clients and staff. You will have line management responsibility and will work with the iCRC team leader to provide a seamless support service to the UK business. Your new role, what s involved? As Business Support Team Leader you will effectively manage and support a team of Business Support Administrators based across your region in delivering a high standard of administration support to the business. Demonstrate positive, proactive and organised people skills, that will support and develop the skills of the Business Support Team. This will include carrying out training, inductions, rota management, Personal Development Reviews, mentoring and coaching of staff. Oversee the working patterns of the team to avoid any disruption to the service. Anticipate and respond ensuring the team is adequately resourced. Monitor workload and capacity of the Business Support team. Identify trends, potential risks and issues and report back to the Business Support Manager. Assist the Business Support Manager with the implementation of Service Level Agreements ensuring that activities are completed in accordance with WSP procedures and guidelines. Ensure that administration staff adhere and are kept up to date with relevant policies and procedures as well as technology changes to be able to deliver an outstanding client experience. Be knowledgeable of WSP’s systems and function as first point of contact for questions. Invest in understanding the roles and skills of each member of the team. Monitor performance and training requirements reporting back the Business Support Manager. Create a culture of trust and openness though the sensitive and confidential handling of information and any employee related issues. Support the smooth running of the team by highlighting and addressing areas of potential improvement. Work with others to support a culture of accountability whereby individuals take personal ownership for delivery. Motivate, develop and communicate with team members, regularly appraising performance. We’d love to hear from you if you have: Resource management experience. Extensive experience in delivering a high-quality business administration service in a demanding and pressurised environment. Previous experience in similar roles considered. A minimum of 10 GCSE’s or equivalent including Maths and English is desirable. A-Levels or equivalent is desirable. A professional and confident manner. Proven experience in managing and leading teams. Ability to effectively negotiate in difficult situations, achieving a solution wherever possible. Proactively manages expectations, with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. Inspires and motivates team members. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent attention to detail Fully conversant to an advanced level in Microsoft 365, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Knowledge and understanding of Adobe InDesign and wider Adobe Creative Apps is desired. Communicates openly and proactively shares knowledge and best practice. A desire to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and collaborate with others, providing flexibility and support to other colleagues during times of heavy workload and absenteeism.
