Business Development Manager (Oil, Gas, Chemical) – UK Wide (Home based with travel 50% of the time) – £35k – £55k + Company Car + 10% bonus + Excellent Benefits We are recruiting for our Global client for an excellent new opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager working within the Oil, Gas and Chemicals Sector (OGC). Our client provide services at every stage in the supply chain and deliver solutions in Plant & Terminal Operations, Inspection Services, Laboratory Services, Measurement & Instrument Services, Upstream and Downstream services. The successful candidate will support the Management Team in the development of new business opportunities across the UK Oil, Gas and Chemicals (OGC) Services business, and will contribute towards UK Key Account Management, by planning and supporting local managers in their delivery of active account management. The Business Development Manager will plan and deliver business development activities in order to achieve OGC business growth targets and will be responsible for driving and achieving sales revenue and agreed financial targets for OGC Services in the UK. The role will be heavily involved in commercial data, particularly quotations and tenders, working independently and with the team to achieve deadlines, presenting the most efficient business processes to internal managers and customers. The Business Development Manager will work with local UK management to help define sales plans and account plans to grow revenue for designated areas and will maintain excellent working relationships with operational management and the functions to ensure customer requirements are met. The role could be based from anywhere in the UK and will require travel up to 50% of the time and the role is offered with a company car. About the candidate we are looking for: * The successful candidate will have experience within the OGC sector, with demonstrable knowledge in the measurement and analytical services and methodologies. * The applicant must have experience of successful tender qualification and submission * Applicants will demonstrate experience of professional account management experience and delivering on customer requirements * Applicants will have the ability to develop positive working relationships with external customers and colleagues at all levels * Applicants will have experience of presenting business concepts to an audience. * Degree holder (or equivalent) in Engineering / Science / Business related science subject is essential. * Travel within the UK will be required to meet with both clients and colleagues to ensure business growth, therefore you’ll need to hold a full driving licence.
