Assistant Quantity Surveyor

A nationwide Construction Main Contractor with offices around the UK are in the market for a driven Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work across a wide range of market sectors. This Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be based within their Birmingham office and will be required to travel around the Midland area on occasion.

The Role

As the Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will be working alongside Senior Quantity Surveyor’s and assisting throughout the project lifecycle.

The role will include:

Identify potential overspend
Minimize cost overruns
Cost Valuation Reporting
Undertake Site Visits
Submission & Negotiation of Final Accounts
Validating Subcontractor Applications
Prepare Monthly Cost Reconciliation for Division ManagerThe Assistant Quantity Surveyor?

You will be a bright and committed individual with a passion for the built environment. Unfortunately applications from non-Construction related Quantity Surveyors will not be considered.

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor must have:

A degree in Quantity Surveying
Demonstrable track record of either new Build, Commercial, Retail, or Residential projects in the UK Construction market.
Ability to interface with clients, demonstrable track record or doing so
Ability to lead/work in multidisciplinary teams
Ability to articulate current issues specific to Build, Commercial, Education, and Health projectsIn return……?

£30,000 – £40,000 pa (dependant on experience)
