My client specialise is producing components for highly regulated industries including the marine, defence and nuclear sectors. They are seeking an Assistant Buyer on an initial 3-6-month contract.
Assistant Buyer
Key Responsibilities
Place material orders in accordance with standard company operating procedures – accessing the ERP system to identify orders to be raised
Place purchase orders for outsourced processes (eg plating and coating)
Send Requests for quotations to suppliers
Evaluation, clarification and resolution of discrepancies with suppliers and finance – eg. Pricing incorrect, or goods not booked in, hold ups of supplier payments
