Our client, an established and reputable business with over 2,000 employees across the UK are entering an exciting new phase of growth, and is looking for a professional and experienced individual to join their Finance team.
The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for all the preparation of management accounts, inputting of month end journals, producing month end reports and analysis, bank payments and reconciliations, preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining the fixed asset register, debtor analysis and being the first point of contact for financial related queries.
Our ideal candidate for the role of Assistant Accountant will have excellent IT skills, be self-motivated and organised, able to work to tight deadlines and have the ability to work well with staff across the company in differing departments. You will also have experience working with Sage 200 or a similar Accounting package and be looking to gain an AAT or ACA qualification (if you haven’t obtained already).
This role is a fixed 12 month maternity leave contract and is due to start ASAP.
