Advice & Information Helpline Worker (Mental Health) Birmingham Part time, 17 hours per week £17,658 (pro rata £8,005) Our client is a leading provider of mental health services in Birmingham and the West Midlands. They are looking for an enthusiastic and caring person to work on their Advice and Information Helpline. The service runs from their Wellbeing Hub in Erdington and supports calls from all of Birmingham. As a Helpline worker, you will be taking calls from residents of Birmingham who are experiencing mental health difficulties as well as carers, friends and family. You will be engaging with callers, assisting them to get support from one of the services or signposting them to relevant external services. You will provide a friendly, non-judgmental listening ear. All service users have aspirations and wishes, and it will be your role to ensure that you support people to achieve these. You will be working in a small team of staff and volunteers. You will have experience in the mental health field, with experience of supporting people to be in control of their lives. You will also be able to demonstrate the ability to work with strong values and work within a recovery approach.
